Okay, now the softer Makeup look below. It talks about pirate makeup and gives ideas about pirate makeup for a pirate girls costume and how to complete the outfit. Details of this look are below.

 

You could interchange these soft colors into a more dramatic, dark, authentic costume look by adding a striped red shirt and bright red lipstick to match. Also add a darker smokey eye color and lots of dark eyeliner and mascara. It doesn’t matter what color your hair is. Just wear a bandana, scarf or pirates hat if you like.

As suggested in the above video, using a makeup method of smoky eyes, dark or bronze eye shadow, you can give a pirate costume just the right touch of pretty and authentic together. Older girls can use long eyelashes, very dark makeup and eyeliner to complete the pirate makeup look. If you want a more genuine pirate look, more like out of the movies – Pirates of the Caribbean, try going for the original “dirty, smudged” face look.

Wear a dark or red colored scarf on your head, or bandanna. A pirate hat gives a really sophisticated look, as there are some divine hats online to buy. Thus is especially good if you are wanting to cover your hair, or you are having a “bad hair day”.

Pirate girls (and boys) always look good wearing some sort of belt, usually displaying a large belt buckle. Whereas, for the younger kids or toddlers even, a pretty scarf or sash around their waists looks nice.

Hanging off the belt, you can have a plastic dagger or pistol, or even a play sword for the older girls and boys. For the pants, wear a dark color, baggy or fitted is fine. A dress looks awesome too. Depending if you want to look sexy and attractive or more like a “tom boy” look! The top or shirt with a collar and with dark or red stripes looks good. Get ideas off Google images too!

Did I mention yet – Pirates love their shiny trinkets on their bodies, because even shiny jewellery looks good on a sassy, cheeky pirate girl!  Bangles and bracelets and your neck and wrists look great. Silver beads also look great. Find as many cheap rings  in silver as you can fit on a few fingers.
