Gypsy Pirate Princess Costume

• Pirates usually wear some sort of belt, often with a large buckle A  scarf, small rope or sash for the little pirate girls look the best. Girls can include a lace up vest or similar if desired. Bandana, scarf or Pirate hat is good also. Off the belt you can hang a plastic dagger or pistol, or even a replica sword for the older kids. Don’t forget the dirty face if you are a boy, and lots of large silver look bangles and rings if you are a girl. The shirt looks good being striped in black, blue or red and looks good with an eye patch. Boots are the best footwear for a Pirate. Get the skull or crossbones design on whatever you can, even if you make it yourself!

If you have younger children and want a Pirate Hat Template to make a Pirates hat then here are a few tips which may help you out. See ideas for Pirate Costumes here.

Pirate Hat Template – You will need

1.Print off this skull and cross-bones flag onto white paper.

2. Print off the pirate hat template onto plain light cardboard, then cut out the hat and the band shapes. These will be templates for you to draw later around in step 3.

3. Now place the templates onto your black card and draw around them carefully. A white or lead pencil should show up well enough for this.

4. Cut along the pencil lines, this will make the front of your pirates hat. The 2 bands will be used to hold it onto your head.

5. Glue the pieces of red card to the front of your hat and along the top edge of the hat.

Once dry, bring out the skull and cross-bones flag for the kids to color in. Great if they are at a party or preparing for Halloween.
